Ford Perfect lives in a small town in the UK... but he's here waiting, from several years ago, a lift to somewhere else in the galaxy. Lucky enough, he finds it a few seconds before Earth is destroyed for logistic reasons. He saves his neighbour, Arthur, who didn't have a clue, before, Ford to be from another planet (Betelgeuse). Their adventure begins this way and, lift after lift, Arthur learns truths about universe, Earth, mice... So hilarious and deep.

A fascinating tales about an absurd and sci-fi travel around the Universe. Looking for comic ways to tell us the story, the author find the occasion to joke the present reality and to point out the non-sense of our ordinary life. Really a good pastime: you can read it with no much dedication, enjoying it and learning something about yourself too.
Shame about the simple and poor writing, taking this book from a 4/5 star to a 3/5 star.
