  • mmm...

The book is engaging, sliding, involving but the end is too much hasty...
All the story solves in the last twenty pages!
A bit disappointing for a book that seems to be so promising!

  • Barcelona, beginning of XIX century: the main character lives most of his adventures in 1930, or kind of, but important facts happened around 1900-1910.

Barcelona, beginning of XIX century: the main character lives most of his adventures in 1930, or kind of, but important facts happened around 1900-1910.
David Martin grows up under the protection of Pedro Vidal: David has nothing, only his love for books and his devotion to Pedro, who's truly a good person, besides powerful and rich.
David is a writer, although not immediately appreciated... until a strange editor contats him promising power and everything to write a particular book. But there's something very mysteryous around Andreas Corelli, the editor...
A true, completely ivolving, gothic novel, dark and mysteryous. Great!

  • ...another disappointing example of an author, who manages just only one good book and then keeps on producing bad copies of his first manuscript!
