You can never say you enjoyed a book like this because of its disturbing nature and it has a close resemblance to the fritzel story. It's written from five year old Jacks point of view which is both its saviour and downfall, as it tends to drag in parts with excess explanations and questions (espe ... Not the norm... -
I usually find 'who done it' novels very tedious and predictable....however, i was suprised by how much i loved every page of this book...it is no scooby doo story where as soon as your introduced to the obvious culprit your left screaming at the slow detective. Read it!!!

a little too short... -
This book had the same pull as the twilight saga books however, it was way too short and left a few things unanswered.....Fred?Diego? this either suggests she is going to write more short stories or didnt really care about the success of this book......However, if your new to the twilight saga don't ... Not a holiday read... -
If you're looking for an easy read with no twist/complications then this is the one for you....although it does leave a sad after taste that lingers for a while, thus I wouldn't recommend taking it on your holidays.... The first few chapters and the last third are what saved this book from only gett ... (continue)

I felt this book started out quite confusing. There are a lot of names and little description of the person making it hard to remember who the person writing the letter is. However, after a 50 pages or so and several letters from each person (as each letter cleverly tells you something about another character and themselves)you build up an image of each of the characters. At this point i couldnt put the book down and it was finished in no time. I particularly liked that this book coverd a wide range of themes including WWII, friensdhip, love and loss. I was slightly disspointed by the ending and felt it was not only obvious but a little abrupt. All in all this is a good read and I would definetly recommend it for a rainy day.
