An interesting book, but it places too much emphasis on gender and not enough on culture.

This was probably my favorite of the series. It goes into the backstory and provides the greatest understanding of the world Harry Potter lives in.

I would actually rate this book between so-so and quite good. I found I enjoyed this one, but it's not one of my favorite fantasy series.

It's not that it's the greatest story ever written, but I've always enjoyed it. Even after several rereadings, I still take comfort in this book.

This was where my interest in Harry Potter waned almost completely. It felt as though there was the opportunity for it to be so much better than it was. And I also hated that I could tell what was going to happen nearly 100 pages in advance.

I was frustrated with this book, although not as much as I was with the fifth. It seems that even as the themes mature and grow darker, the writing style remains the same. I also was highly frustrated that areas which could have been explored, and in some cases should have been explored, were shunte ... (continue)

Fascinating way to look at how the language we uses influences how we think about what we talk about.

I haven't read the entire book yet, but I've enjoyed what I have read so far.
