The Complete Idiot's Guide to Creating a Web Page

A little outdated, but great start! -
This book is very organized and perfect for the beginning website designer. It covers everything from how to build your page from scratch with HTML, to using JAVA, to selling products online. It has illustrations, comes with a CD, and uses everyday language. I did not get to use the CD, but it has h ... (continue)

Great Book for Teens -
If you like 1984 or The Giver, you'll be able to appreciate this book. It follows the story of a 15 year old girl and her friends as they go through life in a world that is strictly controlled by a small group of people. It's called Uglies because that is what the elite group raises them to think th ... (continue)

Totally Amusing -
Let's just say that in this third book of the Twilight saga...the vampire and the wolf form an aliance while both trying to win over the same girl. This can cause some awkward situations!

Sad Story -
If you read the first book in the saga (Twilight, this is the second book) you'll know that Edward leaves Bella. Anyone who's been through a terrible breakup will be able to feel the emotion in this book. It is nice to see her relationship with Jacob deepen, though.

My Least Favorite of the Saga -
It seems like Ms. Meyer was running out of ideas. Why did Bella have to get pregnant? It sucks that that was the whole point of the book. And the sex scenes--gimme a break. The only cool parts were the ones with the baby. Bella's power isn't even that cool. I was disappointed.

Not as good as Strapped -
It seemed like the author read "Strapped" and then just tried to copy it. Waste of energy, reading this one.

Very informative -
This author knows her stuff and she writes a bunch of "boring" info in a very engaging way. Great read for college students, young folks, or anyone who is wondering why they STILL haven't made it!

Made me feel silly -
The author is from Britain and she was able to show me why America is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to spending money on weddings. If you're on the fence about --is it dumb, should I spend this much, what are others doing-- read this. Seriously. I can proudly spit in the face of the wedding in ... (continue)

Self esteem boost -
It's an inspiring read for those who are working hard and hoping that it will eventually pay off. This is geared toward women...she has some great tips and her moral is basically to be yourself and love your uniqueness.

She's kinda cool -
This girl is not playin around. She's real which is awesome and she talks about working her way up from the bottom. It's an encouraging read that reminds us to ignore the haters and love life...great pics for the guys (and girls) too.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Not my favorite in the series -
but pretty good. It's dark, of course...plenty of death, which makes it sad. I will say that the very end was so predictably cheesy. Of course so-and-so and so-and-so-had to get married and have kids with the names that they had, but anyway...

Drama, Drama, Drama -
Christian style. I started reading this book and the people were going to church and praying to God. I thought, 'Oh great, an "inspirational" book. I thought it was going to be a romance, but there will be no sex, no drama, no exciting anything.' I was wrong...this author uses her characters to show ... (continue)
