It's all about building up to a crescendo.

One of the biggest gripes of WoT fans such as myself is series bogged down in books 8-11 mostly. But our wishes have been answered as Gathering Storm & even more Towers Of Midnight wrap up alot of plot points. A literary equivalent of clearing the decks for the upcoming final book.

I was curious & worried about how the story would run with a new author and how the series had really started to bog down.
Both worries are relieved! This is at least the best overall book since "Lord Of Chaos".
I think the new author is doing a wonderful job.

I picked this book up online and read it using an e-reader. I started & finished it in a day obviously.
Now about the book itself, the writing style & dialogue was better than I expected. You can associate with the main characters. The book never skimps on actions or events either. While never really explaining the why (which sometimes annoys me and sometimes doesn't), it does lay out some possibilities.
Final verdict, I recommend this to friends & others that are interested in something different. Best "horror" novel I've read since The Ruins & Duma Key.
